Indicia has acquired a majority stake in Risk Explorer B.V., developer of the software platform of the same name for risk analysis, portfolio management and quality improvement in the commercial insurance market.
Indicia has acquired a majority stake in Risk Explorer B.V., developer of the software platform of the same name for risk analysis, portfolio management and quality improvement in the commercial insurance market. With this strategic partnership, both parties combine their expertise and capacity to speed up the development and the international growth of the platform.
The registered name becomes Indicia Risk Explorer B.V. The company will keep operating internationally under the name Risk Explorer International.
A lasting fit between risk and insurance
Business risks change all the time, while insurance policies and advice files do not always keep pace. Risk Explorer was set up in 2013 out of the daily practice of the commercial insurance adviser, to narrow that gap. The platform digitises and structures the advice process and helps intermediaries achieve a continuous Risk-Insurance-Fit: a lasting match between the current state of the business, the risks it carries and the insurance cover in place. At the same time it gives insight into the quality of the whole commercial client portfolio.

Working with Indicia gives Risk Explorer access to extra expertise and development capacity in technology, data and AI. That means the platform can be developed faster, integrated further into the existing software landscape of intermediaries and scaled up commercially.

Existing shareholders stay involved
The current shareholders of Risk Explorer stay involved as shareholders in the further development of the platform. Over the coming years the focus is on product innovation, professionalising the organisation further and growth in the Dutch and international insurance markets.
